[ voice ]

(soft sounds of a person gulping for air, and a hearty sniffle before the gasping cuts back in. The voice on the other end of the line is very young - maybe five or six? - and very clearly in distress.)

M-m-.... mama....?

.... p-papa.........??

(the voice breaks a little, but the speaker is still trying to be brave.)

... Where are you....?

Heck yeah! Old Lace is her name, she's really friendly, and she's saved my life half a dozen times at least.

Desai is the name of the place we're at now, I guess it's kind of easy to get here by accident... if you're not from here, we can talk to the Travel Agency and get you onto the right train home, I'm sure...

A po - ahahaha, no no. I'm just a kid.

...Mostly, dinosaurs don't exist any more. But I had... a friend.... whose parents broke the rules to get her this one, and... she's mine now.

With aaaanybody? Or just any grown-ups? 'Cause I might be a big kid, but I'm still a kid, ask anybody. I'm totally immature!

Anyway, me and Old Lace will come and see you, first, and then you can decide if you want to go with us or not, okay? You were probably warned about people with candy, too, so I won't bring any.

Are there any signs you can read nearby? Or any strong smells? Old Lace knows every bakery in this city by heart, I swear. I don't know why a dinosaur eats so many donuts...

Absolutely! There's a park right on the edge of Aikercia Tokyo, that's usually the best place to find us.
